How Do You Label Storage Racks?
When labelling your storage racks, the most important thing is to keep to a consistent pattern. This should be done by using letters, numbers, or both, depending on the number of racks you need to label. By using a letter or number system, you can create an easy key to identify where your items are. This is known as standard rack labelling.
If you’re working with a vast warehouse, for example, you may consider a system of 1a, 1b, 1c, etc. Or, you could use a descriptive term followed by a number, such as ‘Packaged Goods: 1’.
