Using Our Flow Indicator Tapes
All of our flow indication tapes are printed with bold black arrows to identify flow direction - simply apply the tape to your pipeline in the correct position to show which way its contents are travelling.
Our pipeline flow indicator tapes are colour-coded, with different colours indicating different types of liquid/gas within the pipeline itself. Here's a handy guide to what each colour means:
- Ochre (08C35) - Gases (not including air)
- Green (12D45) - Water
- Light Grey (10A03) - Steam
- Violet (22C37) - Acid/Alakali
- Red (04E53) - Fire Services
- Light Blue (20E51) - Air
- Brown (06C39) - Mineral Oils
Our flow indication tape is made of 90 micron self-adhesive vinyl with a rubber-based adhesive and a clear polypropylene surface laminate. The tapes have an operating temperature range of -10°C to +50°C, and they can be used on:
- Pipes
- Drain Valves
- Ducting
- Flange Joints
