WEEE Directive is the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment placed in the EU covered by the scope regulations. These are the requirements on manufacturers, importers and distributors, to create a means for consumers to recycle electrical equipment, by collecting, treating and recovering relevant products under the scope of WEEE regulations.
By following these regulations, will help the environment as this will prevent electrical products and equipment being distributed into landfills, polluting the environment. The equipment can then be broken up and reused for manufacturing other equipment. The 2013 regulations have now been extended to cover photovoltaic panels (from the 1st January 2014), while other categories such as luminaires have been re-classified.
Our WEEE Labels are used for marking the equipment, indicating the correct environmental disposal of the products. The ranges of labels are used to inform people of the precise method and means of disposal. These come in a range of different colours and quantities. We can also customise your labels incorporating the WEEE symbol with other product information.
If you are confused about the CE marking legislation, then look no further. We have all the information that you will need for CE marking.
CE labels are to be displayed on many products that comply with the EU safety, health and environmental requirements. These are placed on many products that are traded on the single market in the EEA (European Economic Area).
When CE labels are displayed on products it shows and reassures manufacturers that these products have been checked, and meet the EU safety, health and environment requirements. These can then allow free movement of products within the European market. This also applies to products manufactured in Third Countries and are sold in the EEA and in Turkey.
What products need CE marking?
Products needing CE marking are those subject to specific directives that provide for the CE marking are required to have the CE label on them. This does not mean that the product was made and manufactured in the EEA, however states that the product is assessed before being placed on the market.
CE marking applies to a range of products from electrical equipment to toys, civil explosives and medical devices. Some products are excluded from CE marking such as chemical, pharmaceutical and cosmetic and foodstuff products.
CE Labelling is mandatory in the EU, on products included in the scope of one or more of the new approach directives. Some of these directives cover products such as, medical devices, radio and telecommunications terminal equipment, marine equipment, pressure equipment, non-automatic weighing instruments They are used to show that the product is verified with the regulations of the European Conformity, which means the product can be sold in the EEA (European Economic Area). This also applies to products manufactured in other countries which are sold in the EEA. These labels and nameplates state that the product has been assessed and is fully compliant, before being placed on the market.
Label Source supply a range of CE labels and nameplates, available in self- adhesive vinyl (with a clear protective surface) and also in aluminium. These labels and nameplates are rub test compliant, scratch and chemical resistance and waterproof. Some of the CE labelling products include WEEE and RoHS symbols (for product recycling).
All of these CE labels are available in stock for you to order today.
Given the fact that you can add your own custom text, our engraved tags can, in theory, be used for just about anything. All you have to do is select a shape and a size, then enter the text that you want us to engrave on your tags - we'll take care of the rest!
Still, we want to give you an idea of how our customisable tags tend to be used, so here are some of their most common applications...
Pipework
A brightly-coloured tag is a great way to make your pipes readily identifiable. For example, this tag is specifically desiged to mark a gas line:
Marking your pipes will make life much easier in the event of a plumbing/gas-related emergency, and since you can specify a variety of different colours for your tags, you can even implement a handy colour-coding system if you so desire.
Tools
We often receive enquiries from tradesmen who wish to use our engraved tags to label their tools and equipment. Here is an example of the tags we can provide for this purpose:
Room Marking
No matter how large or small your facilities are, clearly-labelled doors will always make it easier for people to find their way around. Engraved tags are particularly useful for restricted rooms that should only be used by qualified personnel, for example:

Write and seal labels are perfect for important information to be protected. These write and seal labels have a two part construction, with a base material, which is print receptive, and a part attached clear protective laminating film. The laminate has a flap with a backing release paper. See below our three way guide to write and Seal Labels.
1- Handwritten information can be added by ball point or marker pens. Important information such as test dates, serial numbers, service dates, and any other valuable information are written and sealed.
2- The flap backing paper is removed.
3- The clear film seals the total label surface. Your important information is then sealed and protected.
Label Source provides a wide range of Write and Seal Labels for all different applications including PAT and electrical testing, inspection, identification, equipment numbering, maintenance, servicing, pressure testing, product tests, quality assurance, calibration and safety checks. These labels can be used in a range of markets including electrical inspection; hospitals and medical use; research and development laboratories; defence; marine; aerospace; pharmaceutical; chemical; automotive; and engineering.
The self-adhesive labels or stickers are abrasion or scratch resistant, chemical resistant (including oils and solvents), waterproof and weatherproof. These labels are rub test compliant. The base material is laminated, creating a subsurface printed label in compliance with the run test requirements of BS2110-1959
